What is the name of your state? CA
I have to go to a QME on my left elbow and right knee, that I injured at work 4 years ago. The insurance company says this is necessary to offer a settlement. I am trying to find out what would be a reasonable settlement?
Thanks

I am no expert on this, but have went through a similar problem.

It is all based on the doctor's reports.

The insurance company says this is necessary to offer a settlement. It's not legally required but it's no surprise that the WC carrier wants an independent medical eval before determining what, if any, PPD (permanent partial disability) settlement is appropriate.

I am trying to find out what would be a reasonable settlement? You can't because all the doctors' reports are not yet it. This depends ENTIRELY on the degree of permanent impairment you are left with (if any) and what your State's WC reg's dictate.
