Severance Package and W/c

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan.
I have been on w/c for several years. I am currently pettioning for my
medical benefits to be reinstated as I have been cut off now for months...
My place of business just closed its doors. I was a Mgr there for many years til I was injured. I was offered a severance package. My question is, if I sign the severance aggreement will it effect my workers comp?
