i work at a group home with person with developmental disabilities. One of the kids in the group home was caught with pornographic pictures at school. he is high functioning and pretty much goes and knows what to do. he has a history of sexual thoughts and advances. he later confessed that he got the pics at school and lied about alot of stuff. he had initially claimed he got the pics at another group home. which was a lie as he had never been out. He then also claimed that staff..ie me, brought in my computer and showed him porn over the internet. I was put on suspension pending investigation. Investigation proved that he was lying and that he was trying to transfer heat from himself. he also changed his story.
Now i have been on suspension for three months. I have had no explaination from my boss who says that he submitted the final paper work to the state showing that internal investigations proved he was lying. this company also is in alot of problems. Officailly the company has cleared my name.
My question is..
is this classified as defamation and can i sue?
who can I sue?
am i eligible for pay from my company?
what can i do?
