What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana

Hello - I was injured while at work Sunday morning. diagnosed with an achilles tendon rupture at emergency room. have been waiting since then to see a specialist, but filing of the claim and assignment of an adjuster to my case have taken a long time. it is now wednesday, and i've yet to be able to schedule an appointment.
because of the nature of my injury, seeing a doctor promptly is important. i may not have required surgery initially, but if the tendons have begun to deteroriate while i am waiting for the ok from the adjuster to make an appointment, surgery may be necessary and the prognosis may not be as good.
basically, the longer i have to wait, the worse my injury becomes. additionally, each day the pain in my foot has worsened. i am helpless to do anything while waiting for the case to proceed thru proper channels.

is there anything i can do?

i don't have a family physician, and after being told i had to wait for the adjuster to schedule directly with the specialist, i suggested giving the office my insurance information and making an appointment with that information. the doctor's billing department advised me to not use my insurance at all in dealing with this injury as it could complicate my worker's comp claim.

The doctor's billing department is not going to end up with a permanent injury.
