What are my rights

On nov 13, 2008, i had broken my hand at work and was sent in for treatment, i had health insurance with this company for 3 months and had been working there for a yr and a half. i come back to work, and the manager tells me "due to the incident and my negativity in the offices, we are going to have to part ways" the negativity that he was referring to was my crying, cursing and frustration with this job that led to my broken hand therefore because i was emotionally negative after breaking my hand, they fired me. well i have daily medications that i have to take for health reasons and due to my hectic schedule, hadnt had time for an appointment (i worked everyday until 5pm, including holidays and wkends) and taking off of work was like pulling teeth at this company. due to a recent move, i changed my physician, so i went into the new office to do all the paperwork and come find out that my past employer has canceled my health insurance the day of the incident. therefore i can not get my perscriptions nor get a followup with the doctors that saw me for my work injury. im screwed, i have no health insurance, running low on medications and cant even get my employer to pay for the checkup visit for my injury that happened at the job. i also checked my pay stub and it shows that i have payed for the entire month of november's health insurance.. can someone please give me advice

What state are you in? What kind of work did you do? How did you break your hand? How many employees does your employer have?
