What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Minnesota

My husband was injured on the job in November. He had surgery for torn meniscus on both sides of his knee....and is still on WC today. Surgery was in December. To date they have injected Cortizone and now Chicken protein shots to the knee. He's 62 and has arthritis and xrays show that most of his cartlidge has worn from his knee and he is in pain.

Doctor says he cannot return to work. If he does return it he will not be able to do his job due to injuries and arthritic condition.

Do we have to file a new claim for WC regarding the aggravation of arthritis on the knee or does the current claim cover that?

Doctor has recommended knee replacement, WC says no way as the arthritis is not a direct result of the injury. The injury has aggravated the arthritic condition according to doc.

Thank you for your help.
