What is the name of your state? New Jersey
I fell at work and was sent immediately to a workmans comp clinic. They examined my arm took an x-ray and told me it was bruised and sent me back to work. I am a payroll systems operator, which requires the use of the computer. I went back to work and sat in agony since the comp doctor only gave me an anti-inflammatory drug and told me to take advil. I was told that if I took any time off it would have to be sick time since the comp doctor said I could return to work. I was having terrible spasms in my arm. I returned two days later to the clinic and they told me that they thought my elbow was fractured(radial head fracture) and dislocated but I had to have a bone scan done. Again return to work. Bone scan and MRI determination that elbow was fractured with much edema in biceps tendon(possible ruptured tendon), also hospital ortho felt elbow had been dislocated (due to symptoms of spasms) but in his opinion it had reduced itself. (I still don't know what that means). Was sent to compensation orthoped and was given 4 wks PT ( which first week was performed by a student on Christmas break)and released. Arm is still not straight and I was told to expect "deformity" after this injury. After being sent to another PT facility therapist recommended new doctor. All reports sent back to my office were listed as elbow bruise even though hospital bone scan and MRI listed injury as fracture and possible torn tendon. Only treatment given besides PT was sling. Now I am having a brace made to try to straighten the arm. Was sent to specialist (unfortunately it was a back specialist because they could not find an elbow specialist) he felt bad and examined it anyway took x=rays and told me there was a foreign body that had calcified and it would have to be operated on. Workman's comp refused and told me to continue PT. Therapist told me it was futile and after measuring strength and flexability told me PT was cancelled since it was not improving. Have not missed one day of work with this injury, but where do I go from here? Our medical department at work gets very annoyed when I request another doctor's opinion. My right arm is bent and cannot be straightened out, but the work doctor told me this is an acceptable deformity because I can still use my hand and arm. Is this correct?

Silly,You have the right to get a second or third openion if you like, sound.s like it's time, to seek a w.c. lawyer and let him/her handle everything.A person should (with proper treatment) via physical therapy, surgery or whatever it take's to get the problem fixed as close to the orginal as it was before the acciden't so don't let anyone intimadiate you, go get another openion, if your not happy with that one then go get another, you are the one that will have to live with the problem,no one else.
