What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Massachusetts

Is it a violation of a stay away order in Massachusetts if you accidentally pass by one another on the sidewalk far away from anyone's home or place of employment? If so, what should immediately be done?

Technically, yes, it is generally a violation if you are within X number of feet of the person from whom you are restrained. If you do not make an issue of it (calling out, waving, whatever), and you did not go out of your way to be in the same area at the same time, it should not be a problem.
