i was involved in injurying somone. the other person who was also involved is being sued. i have not been summoned yet, because i have left for school in another state. the plantiff is sueing for over 25,000. an amount we together find overwhelming. the event took place about a year ago. what should i do? i am a starving student, and do not want to involve my parents. can the plantiff, sue for medical bills, that were paid by insurance(provided by the military)? thank you. sincerely, john1

Could use a little more information.

How did the incident occur? Is there any insurance coverage? What state did the incident occur in? Add anything else that you feel may be helpful.
