What is the name of your state? California
Okay, question of my own. My fiance was an authorized user on an ex's credit card (Associate's) and a store card (Sears), but signed nothing at all and didn't even know until months after she got those cards when she gave them to him (she "forgot" about them). Well, he never used them himself, yet they are past due and showing up on HIS credit which stoped him from buying a house. Why are those debts showing on his CH when he never signed anything to be jointly responsible and what can we do? Those two cards are all that stopped him from buying our dream house (six bedroom, land, the works!), and the best part was the house was a repo being sold for $60,000, but valued at $425,000 (we had a private appraiser come in).
