Simple question: Can you file for any chapter of consumer bankruptcy if you previously haven't filed taxes?

Sure you can but any past due taxes will not be dismissed by the bankruptcy.

If you had an income but did not file your required returns, then you will be forced to file ALL of them when you file for bankruptcy, the Trustee/Court will require it. However, since those types of returns were previously UNfiled, or the IRS filed a return FOR you, then any taxes owing would NOT be dischargeable.
