Once upon a time my brother bought a car he couldnt afford so he found someone to take over the payments. She didnt pay and disappeared, so the Bank went after him. The cops wont turn on the low-jack, they said it was a domestic issue. 2 years later we need the car and the girl found. Private investigators and hundreds of $$$ have turned up empty handed.

If my bother puts the car in my name. Can I claim the car stolen and have the police turn on the low jack?

What makes you think the cops will be any more willing to turn it on with the car in your name?

And the car wasn't stolen. Your brother willingly handed her the keys.
