join savings account transfer to new account by one spouse without permission ofother

I had a joint account with my wife.The account was savings account.One day my wife went to bank and closed that saving account that was joint with me. And reopen new account under her name not having my name at all.
Shoud it be legal?Can i hire attorney to fight with bank and my wife.

What your wife did was 100% legal; that's what a joint account is. Each party has an undivided interest in the whole account and it only takes one of the joint tenants to act in this personal property case.
