What is the name of your state? Florida

Can somone please tell me if common-law status still exists in Florida. I am asking on behalf of a friend who's girlfriend lives with him and they are now splitting up and she wants to claim half of everything he owns. Can she do it?

Florida does not recognize "common law marriage".
