What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

Please be aware that divorces are governed almost entirely by state law (excluding things such as federal pensions, and some other issues). Do not take advice from anyone who isn't licensed to practice in your state. A California lawyer cannot correctly advise someone in Florida, and so forth.
