What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WISCONSIN
i currently have a restrainging order on my ex boyfriend till 2012 and i want to know if and how i can get this dropped! plz help-thanks!

You don't make the decision. The legal system does.

A lot of victims of abuse want to cancel the restraining order because their boyfriend/husband "didn't mean" to abuse them. Of course, what usually happens is that the cycle begins again, and the victim wants the legal system to step in again with another restraining order and lots of sympathy.
