What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

My 17 year old son just found out his ex girlfrind is 2 months pregnant. She is only his ex because Adoptive grandmother made them break up. He was going over there freqently allowed by me (mother) thinking they were supervised by grandma being a Florida 4th grade teacher...no worries here ya know.

My son comes home after she kicks him out...she tries to talk him into taking a shower with her grand-daughter and lets them sleep in the same room together. And tells them it is ok to have sex. Myself, belivev this is child porn and she needs to be reported,

My son says grandma takes the phone out of the wall all the time so grand daughter cannot call anyone.. her best friend says she hasnt talked to her in a while...my son has not been able to contact her and I have sent her emails and she has not checked them...and I have been calling for a few days. Is the imprisonment...

I also am thinking grandma tricked the kids into having sex and getting pregnant so she can collect more state money...I am also concerned since my son is 17, will I be sued for child support?

And does my son have any rights to any decisions at this point or myself?

Please someone give me some advise ... :(What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

At this point, your son has no rights. You will not have any rights to any decision-making at any point.

How old is the girl?

She is 16 and my son will be 18 in 5 months.
What about the grandmas actions? Should she be reported to Children & families?

If you really believe your son's story, then sure. However, you may also be investigated for allowing your 17 year old to stay overnight at his girlfriend's house.

Does your son's ex attend school?

I doubt that the kids were 'tricked" into sex. teens usually don't need any coaching, as evidenced by the high rate of teen pregnancies. The grandmother may have allowed it, but the claim that she tricked them, and forced them is positively ludicrus. Unless you can prove that the grandmother took pictures or filmed the sex, it is not "child pornography".

No- YOU will not be sued for CS. However, your son can be. Your son has no rights right now, but as soon as the baby is born he has the right to file in court for a DNA test to establish paternity. He will also have the right to file for some form of custody, visitation and CS.
Although if the girl allows, he can sign the AOP at time of birth, it is HIGHLY recommended that a DNA test be done instead.

Do NOT report anything that you cannot prove. If your son is the father, your filing false accusations will only hurt him in trying to be a father to his child once the child is born.

I agree with everything that you have said. However...there really are some welfare parents out there that don't discourage teenage pregnancies in order to increase benefits or prolong benefits to their households.

Yes, but Granny of the pregnant teen is a 4th Grade Teacher. I don't think teachers qualify for welfare benefits. ;)

You would be surprized...If granny is a public school teacher who has been a teacher for a long time she probably doesn't qualify. However, if she is a private school teacher its quite possible that she qualifies (as they generally make a lot less money) or if she is a teacher's aide/assistant rather than an actual teacher, its quite possible that she qualifies as well. If she is a relatively new teacher she probably qualifies also.

If granny was a teenage or young mother herself, her degree might be relatively new. If she had her daughter at 16 herself, she would only be 32-33 now.

Grandma would have to be mid to late forties to have a 16 year old granddaughter (assuming g'ma and mom had child at 16 or younger).

IMO grandma's reaction to the pregnancy sounds like shock and anger, not conspiracy. What's the point of kicking the boy out if she was all for the pregnancy? Why limit the granddaughter's access to friends? I don't see how her actions support a conspiracy theory. Sounds more like a furious grandma to me.

The bolded portion has me curious- can you clarify?

Did the Grandmother's daughter, or son, adopt the girl and that's why you called her the "adoptive grandmother"?
If so, where are the girl's adoptive parents?

Or, Did the Grandmother herself adopt the girl?

The answer may have a large impact on your son being ordered to pay CS, including retro support. The main reason is that all adopted children in FL automatically recieve full medicaid coverage until age 18, regardless of the parents' incomes. The state might want reimbursement from your son for the prenatal and birthing costs. Your son will definately need to get a consult with an attorney ASAP.
