California DUI

Hello all,

I was recently charged with a DUI while on Army Corps of Engineers Land (Federal Land). Will the County Superior Court hear my case? It sounds like it needs to be heard in a Federal Court. Is it worth it to bring up the fact that I was on Federal Land? If I don't I think that fact will be overlooked. Could I get in more trouble if I bring that up? Or is there a chance the federal court won't want to hear the case?

Thanks

Many offenses on open federal land will be heard by the county courts.

What code section(s) are on your citation or release paperwork?

Does any of your paperwork indicate where you have to attend court?

I was charged with 23152 (A) / 23152 (B). My paperwork says my next required appearance will be at the Stanislaus County Superior Court - Dep 12.

Yep, you are charged under state law and the case will be heard by the indicated court. This is common for most offenses that occur on federal land, so it's not even an issue worth arguing.
