Say for example you're hired on to play a part in a video game or a movie and various fan theories pop up online about your character and unreleased game. If asked and you say "no, this theory is incorrect" .... Would that violate the non-disclosure agreement you signed?

1: US Law Only
2: Read your NDA (we aren't privy to it.)
3: If you are confused, consult local legal counsel with your questions.

If you signed a non-disclosure agreement, you have agreed not to disclose - whether the disclosure would be made outright or through hints or through a question and answer process of elimination.

You should never sign any contract/agreement of any kind until you understand exactly what it is you are agreeing to.

And, as Zigner noted, this site handles US law questions only.
