What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? OHIO

Hello, we are separated. I did file for divorce and date is set.
My husband changed his mailing address and all my mail has been going there.
I contacted the post office and set it straight. I'm just now starting to get mail after a month!

I ordered a part that I needed online and it went to his new address,
he keeps telling me that he has it and will bring it but never does.
I paid over $250 for this part.

Is there something I can do?

Thanks for any advice!

File in court for an order requiring him to return all your mail to you immediately.

Talk to him and set a specific date to receive the mail. If he is not cooperative, talk to the post office and the local police.

He was suppose to come over 3 or 4 different times and he didn't show up.
He is suppose to be here tomorrow, not sure why but he keeps saying he has my package.
Being a difficult jerk I guess.

So if he don't bring it tomorrow or is a no-show, I guess I'll have to wait for the divorce date to get it.
I can't afford another court date.

Isn't that totally against the law to hold the mail? ...instead of sending back to the sender?
I did that with a piece of his, I just put "incorrect address" on it.

Thanks!

Again, have you tried going to his place and picking it up from him?

No way! He lives with his mother who is a total B!
She would attack me. I seen her attack her own daughter.

I'm trying to stay civil so we can possibly get a dissolution instead of a nasty divorce.

Thanks for all the input!
If he doesn't show tomorrow with it I guess I can tell him I'll have to... Press charges? Or go to court and file since it is domestic matter.

What a pain.

Regarding the bolded above in your post: is THAT how you want for him to deal with your mail? You know where he lives.

Pot, kettle.

Hush up...after all, what do you know about this sort of stuff?

(That was intended simply to drive home the point that Ohiogal is the BEST person in this thread to listen to)

Not sure what qualifies you to say that.
No I am very smart at what I do for a living. Masters degree.
I could say the same about you if you were looking for answers in my profession.
So in my eyes that comment was unnecessary. But who cares, not me.
I'm not a lawyer, if I were I wouldn't be on here.

I'm on here trying to get advise from a professional and YES I will follow OhioGal advise.

Thank you Ohiogal for giving me the best advise. I appreciate very much.
