About a week. I would leave her for short visits.
If she did ok with a short phase in time before she went to full days at daycare, then she would probably do just fine with a fairly short phase in before she went to full days with her father. Overnights really depend on the individual child and how well she bonds with her father. If she is sleeping through the night it tends to work better...be less frustrating for both dad and the child.

Thank you. She still wakes 3 times a night to eat. But I plan on phasing in overnights as well.

If she phased into daycare in a week, I see no reason that a phased in visitation for DAD be a week as well. Babies generally care about who feeds then, changes them and puts them to sleep less than their parents and I'm sure she does fine in daycare.

The child's last time is likely to be hyphenated if the parents can't manage to be adults about it. Or, depending on the judge, Dad's request may well be granted in full. A complete denial of Dad's request is unlikely.

The child certainly doesn't give a flying ferret fart about her last name.

That is an awful lot of times to wake up for a 7/8 month old. Babies are usually sleeping through the night most of the time at that age. Does she not eat very much at a single sitting?

She eats 5- 6ounces. She's breastfed and eats about 30 ounces normally. But during the night it's more of a comfort feeding.
