There is no obligation I have found that requires an employer pay you for lost time due to a work accident. Zigners post was referring to the fact that workers comp insurance pays for lost time, within the rules within the WC law. I haven’t looked but most states have a period where no pay is due until you have missed some specified number of days. Missing part of a day would unlikely be compensable time.
