Is there a period missed time must exceed prior to recieving pay for missing work? If so the time off when going home may not be compemsable.

In my reading of the law, there is a mention of 3 days. Whether that applies here or not, I don't know.

There is no obligation I have found that requires an employer pay you for lost time due to a work accident. Zigners post was referring to the fact that workers comp insurance pays for lost time, within the rules within the WC law. I haven’t looked but most states have a period where no pay is due until you have missed some specified number of days. Missing part of a day would unlikely be compensable time.
