You'd hire an attorney to represent you in that matter. I assume it is the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) that you wish to sue. What is it that DHS did for which you wish to sue? It may be that your complaint, whatever it is, isn't something for which you can sue the agency. The details would matter. Share all the info you have about it with the attorney and listen carefully to what the lawyer tells you about what remedy you have, if any, what you might expect to get from it, and what it will cost you to pursue.

They opened a investigation on me and never contacted me or notified me and they found true findings yet never investigated me or let me know so I could have a chance to defend myself and because of there true findings and them not letting me know I couldn't fight it and my name is put on the central registry. The problem is them never notifing me that they opened up a investigation and never did there job and investigating anything and found true findings. Is that legal can they do that by law.

In March 2017 I was arrested for convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and 2 counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. This happened at my house in ward lonoke county. It was around midnight and I was very drunk I don't drink or do drugs or anything else wrong I raise my 4 year old granddaughter who I had custody of she is literally my heart and soul and my 3 year old grandson I raised but not on paper . I have had both of them since birth they were my life and my reason for living. Well I had a lot going on in my life well all our lives even my 21 year old daughters and her my grandson mom and my son my granddaughters dad and a couple of my friends were there so I told my daughter and son for once in there whole 3 and 4 year of having them babies in my bed sleeping to stay sober and be responsible and watch the babies that I was going to get drunk and try to have a little grown up time for that night but in my house no one was going out or anything. Well I got to drinking and got drunk very fast but they did to and the cops were called said someone described as looking like me was saw outside shooting a pistol they ran my name and it some how after 22 years came back convicted felon so then they searched my house without permission and I told them I had a shotgun and where it was and that's when they decided to just take it on thereselves and search my house my 2 children they were across the apartment from in front of my door they made them stay outside then after they searched but couldn't find anything they let them in and asked if I had a pistol they said yes and had my daughter look for it while Lonoke county had got there and put me in the cop car I was going to jail . They found the pistol that I had in my house and let my daughter leave with my grandbabies then they called DHS hotline well I got out if jail a few hours later bonded out and my daughter said I was not allowed around either of my grandbabies that she had took my granddaughter to my sister's and she went and got a emergency hearing and took PJ from me they gave her guardianship of her and lonoke county DHS opened up a investigation on me and I did all I was supposed to do and saline county DHS which is where my daughter lives went and talked to my daughter and told her I couldn't be around my grandson no more that was the last she heard from them. A year later well earlier this year Feb everything was dismissed I had went to cabot district court 1st and they told me that I couldn't have a public defender and I didn't need to hire. My own attorney and set me a court date I went and had to defend myself I begged them to please let me hire a lawyer and they would not let me I lost and had to appeal it went to Lonoke county circuit Court hired a lawyer and at pre trial it was all dismissed and got disorderly conduct. But I still can't get my baby bc now my name is on the central registry so I tried to sue DHS myself with Arkansas state claim commission and they told me that I can appeal the decision and so I have been in the process of doing that for about 4 months now and just waiting for them that's my whole case . I also am wanting to sue Lonoke county for getting in my sealed records first offender act act 346 no one is supposed to be able to get into those under that act and because of all that above that me and my babies are still going through . I feel like someone should pay for all the hurt and pain we have been going through I had a major nervous mental breakdown and still have little ones every now and then I want my baby back they did this to us and took our lives away and for absolutely no reason at all
