Hi. I got with my hummer into the parking lot of a major mall in LA. The clearance of the entrance was high enough, I parked and watched a movie with my kids on the way put I took a different exit, and driving slowly I knocked a clearance steal bar breaking my ski bars on top. Pls advise if it is my fault or the malls fault. If you enter the mall parking and you get clearance at the main gate, you would assume all the parking height would be a safe clearance for the car. correct? i want to know if I should report the accident to the insurance if it is not my fault or not? thanks.

Did the clearance bars each give a height for clearance?

I'm a goody-two-shoes but I've seen enough crazy things that people do in their cars over the years that this popped into my head effortlessly.
