What is the name of your state?TX
Paid homeowners for 42 years without claim. Harvey hit.
Asked agent if certain minor items were covered at all.
"Somehow" claim got filed for unknown amount attributable to "wind" which I requested immediately
closed/nullified. We paid all the minor repairs.

Now shopping for other carrier and CLUE report says
'There was one claim, under the risk address, 8/25/17, $100 for "loss adjustment expenses." '
...to some adjustment company this was assigned to who never did anything...
Current carrier now says this is not erasable. Is this worth bothering with?

The consensus in this thread seems to say no, but what about "claims-free discounts?":

You might lose it with some companies, not with others. All you can do is shop around and compare rates for the coverage you want.

The Texas Department of Insurance has a rate comparison tool that can help you find leads to competitive insurance companies.

You can't fight the CLUE report but you can decide where to buy your insurance.
