PA Do I need a lawyer to fill out a "NO Contact" order on a non family person?
Probably not. Look at your local court's website for DIY information.PA Do I need a lawyer to fill out a "NO Contact" order on a non family person?
You should call or go to your county court and request a “protection from abuse” self help packet. You can fill out the forms, and file, without the assistance of an attorney.PA Do I need a lawyer to fill out a "NO Contact" order on a non family person?
I did that and PA PFA is for family only, this is NOT family. You should call or go to your county court and request a “protection from abuse” self help packet. You can fill out the forms, and file, without the assistance of an attorney.

Have you contacted the police about the incident or incidents that have you now seeking a protective order?I did that and PA PFA is for family only, this is NOT family.
A "no contact order" is issued in criminal cases, not civil cases.PA Do I need a lawyer to fill out a "NO Contact" order on a non family person?
I will have to disagree. A no contact order is issued by the court in a criminal case and, generally, will disappear at the conclusion of the case (except in cases where it continues as a condition of post-trial supervision). As a note: A “protection” order is also called a “no contact” order - and anyone can file a petition with the court, not just family members. The orders can cover not only physical abuse but also stalking or harassment.
A no-contact order is almost always a part of an order of protection. The Order is issued by the court.I will have to disagree. I am still going to disagree with you. Restraining orders are civil in nature, while no contact orders are issued in criminal matters. I will message you separately.A no-contact order is almost always a part of an order of protection. The Order is issued by the court.

Going to somewhat disagree or at least clarify. No contact is part of no stalking and CPO orders. Stand alone -- yeah, there you are correct. No contact is criminal adjacent.I am still going to disagree with you. Restraining orders are civil in nature, while no contact orders are issued in criminal matters. I will message you separately.
I suppose it's a bit pedantic. In PA, "no contact orders" are criminal and, while restraining orders prohibit contact, they are not "no contact orders." If the OP goes into court asking for a "no contact order", they're not going to have much luck. Of course, PA makes it difficult to find non-DV restraining order information.Going to somewhat disagree or at least clarify. No contact is part of no stalking and CPO orders.
