IF you are out of that home the past events may best be left in the past ...and police may not take you seriously about old assault/battery problem anyway .

Going forward, if dad insists on having mom in picture with an unsupervised role ...you need to make tough decisions ...and how he and his mother address her substance use is NOT your call.

BTW you did not yet answer if Dad is official dad under TX law...it might matter as to your options . .
