If you had paid for the food first , tucked your receipt into your pocket and then gone back and prepared it even if anyone would have said anything you would have been able to reply with receipt in hand as you asked ` is there a chance you did not see me just a moment ago paying for this ? ` file for UC and let them decide , when you file if you are able to make sure you mention that you made a mistake and did not pre pay for your food and even though you did pay for it the employer did not terminate you on the spot but chose to do it when it was convenient to them
