I work in the state of Ohio at a hotel. I received a company memo stating that on June 1st. 2000, Males will no longer be permitted to wear earrings. In our employee handbook it states that earrings can be worn by males, and limits it to (2) per ear, and they can only be stud earrings. I only wear 1 stud in only 1 ear. It also states ( the memo) that females may continue to wear earrings. Is this sexual discrimination? I don't feel that I should have to take it out. It doesn't effect my performance at work, and It has been socially acceptable for males to wear earrings for many years.
