I am scheduled to appear in court in a few weeks to receive charges for an underage I was ticketed for. If I have a possession charge in a separate county (I am doing the diversion program for this) will the court be able to see that charge?

First, what is the name of your state? Nevermind - I see from your other thread that it is Ohio.

Second, it is preferred that you keep all of your related-questions to a single thread instead of starting additional threads. https://forum.freeadvice.com/juvenile-law-90/what-happens-now-616865.html

Third, please do not report posts. It is best if you leave that to the long-term forum members. Otherwise you are making a lot of unnecessary work for the moderator of the forum.

Fourth, it appears that you asked this same question back on September 9 and you received two responses.

Thank you.

First, you didn't answer any of my questions. Second, I don't know what reporting a post even means on here/how to do it so no idea what you're talking about. Third the details of my case have since changed, hence the new forum with the updated material. Thanks for all the help(;

Yes. The court CAN see charges from another county if they care to look.

Whether the court WILL see charges from another county is unknown.

First, you didn't answer the question: "What is the name of your state?" I had to take the time to search for it.

Second, I saw you reporting posts and, where once there was a third thread created by you, only two remain. Hmmm.

Third, you have a thread with the needed background (including the name of your state) and the question you ask here was addressed there as well as in your second thread (the second thread that was deleted).

Fourth, you're welcome. ;)

cbg has nicely provided you yet again with the answer to your question. Ohiogal and others provided an answer to the same question for you earlier.

Good luck in court.

Some youngsters simply do not understand what they're told unless you use the exact words they are expecting to hear.

So I spelled it out for her in words even a child could understand. Since she is, after all, a child.

And some youngsters need to be told the same thing several times over. :)

The possession charge for which Emily_48 is currently serving probation is likely to be considered by the court and she is at risk of having this previous charge entered, leaving her with a criminal record. I believe the diversion program is only offered once in Ohio (Ohiogal can correct me if I am wrong). What Emily_48 is looking at now with her "underage" charge is a second offense.

I think Emily_48 would benefit from having an attorney. Perhaps the attorney can get this latest ticket dismissed to reduce the risk that her probation is revoked.
