Shareholders of a C Corp owning an apartment building won't contribute to mandatory repairs

Yes, I've considered the conventional solutions, all of which would take time. I was hoping for some "unconventional" ones from the experts here! But thanks to all who offered advice. Sucks to own multi family rental property in New York. I found out recently about the 2019 Housing Stability and...

Shareholders of a C Corp owning an apartment building won't contribute to mandatory repairs

I was hoping for a quicker solution than selling it. But that seems like a great idea now! But another wrinkle is that I own a restaurant in the building. Having ownership in the building helps keep the rent manageable since I have some input on it.

Shareholders of a C Corp owning an apartment building won't contribute to mandatory repairs

Other things to consider. All the apartments are either rent controlled or stabilized, which means it's not very profitable. Which also means that the cheap shareholders don't believe in putting out much money since their income from the building isn't much. I'm in bed with these losers because...

Usually they are looking for yes or no answers, which is why I am not sure what they are looking for, since usually there is no explanation as to how to answer. No follow-up questions either, such as percentage of interest. I do have controlling interest, so obviously I know that I "basically"...

Shareowner in a C Corp owning a restaurant same as owning the restaurant?

Of course, there was no context for that question, so as Taxing Matters said, it depends on what the form is looking for, but it wasn't explained. But it seems...

Shareowner in a C Corp owning a restaurant same as owning the restaurant?

What is the name of your state? New York I own shares in a C-Corp that owns a restaurant. Does that mean I am the owner of a business? Or just that I own shares in a corporation? As if I own shares in Microsoft, but obviously I don't own the business of Microsoft and not a "business owner"...

How to dispute late payment for parking violation

I'm willing to bet that even if I did this, they would have made an excuse that I have to build in processing time. They really could just deny me and I wouldn't have a choice. They know that we will just give up.
