My boyfriend of 14 yrs is in prison, his mom recently died while in prison, his release date is 10/2021, his mom died ~2/20/2019. I found out his mom died, by calling her multiple times, 3rd time her live-in boyfried (25+ years younger, still residing in her home, telling me he is executor) answered stating Ruth died 2 weeks ago, would not give me date. He would not give me or send the son a copy of the will, nor give any details about its contents, nor who the legal entity representative is. She has an estate valued at +$300,000. The executor as of 5/10/2019 had not filed with probate court. We want to be sure the executor is not trying to conceal the existence of the will for his own financial gain. I am trying to help my boyfriend. Please guide me as to what he or I can do.
