    Logo Mark vs. Domain

Thanks for your help. I will let you know what happens.

    Logo Mark vs. Domain

I am not infringing their logo marks. They have nothing else. Why should I give it up? I have a wonderful piece of land, I do not have the money to build on it, but I plan on using it in the future. I get many offers, but I am not interested in selling. So per your logic, I have to give it up?

    Logo Mark vs. Domain

They made a 20K offer 10+ years ago. We told them that we are not in it for the money. How can that be bad faith?

    Logo Mark vs. Domain

I do not believe so after they ignored us for 10 years. They made an interesting offer to buy it, but we were not in it for money. For sure not.

    Logo Mark vs. Domain

Of cause not. Not to offend any lawyers, but sometimes they write such letters just to scare people into what they want. This lawyer just wrote that I violate their logo marks. He did not further justify it. They say that the parking page with its advertising links violates the logo marks. Thanks.

    Logo Mark vs. Domain

That is my point. A logo mark is not a word mark. Also, you have to defend your trademark. If you know of a possible violation and you ignore it for 12 years, your mark becomes very weak.

    Logo Mark vs. Domain

What is the name of your state? FL In 2009 I registered a domain. It has been with a domain parking service ever since. There was advertising on the page from the parking service. I now got a letter from a law firm that says I am violating their client's trademark. The registered three logo...

Neighbor's garage on fire, damage to mine.

Thanks. Right now it is very hard to get ONE estimate. But three ... almost impossible. Also, a lot of wood involved in this job.

Neighbor's garage on fire, damage to mine.

Just wanted to give you an update: It took a long time, but we now have the fire report. It talks about a possible electrical fire starting in the neighbor's garage. Nothing in there that could prove negligence. Both parties have the same insurance, Citizens. They were out at the neighbor's...

Neighbor's garage on fire, damage to mine.

Thanks for all your answers. Very helpful. I will wait for the report from the fire department. I assume it will be very hard and costly to prove negligence, so it looks like I will have to pay for it myself.

Neighbor's garage on fire, damage to mine.

FL. I have an investment property. My neighbor's garage was on fire and burned down. We both have tenants in our property. My garage has damage from that. The fire department established that the fire started at his site. He had his insurance inspector over, but he was not interested in ours...

Interest payments to a non resident

Thank you so much. He is not a US citizen. He lives on a cruise ship and does not pay taxes anywhere. I have a confirmation from the cruise ship on this. Now, if I got Euros from him in the Netherlands and paid the interest over there on an account, I still need to withhold if I want to use...

Interest payments to a non resident

Okay. Understood. I just wanted to make sure, I can deduct it as an expense and I do not have to withhold anything on the interest payments.

Interest payments to a non resident

Florida - USA. I have a friend that has a Dutch passport. He has not lived there in 20 years and does not pay taxes there. For about 10 years he lives and works on a cruise ship. He showed me a confirmation from the cruise line. He is convinced that he does not have to pay taxes. He gave me...
