I am currently a navy reservist but after my 12 month obli-serve is up I plan on transferring to the IRR. I currently have a two year deferment to keep me from being activated but after my transfer my deferment will no longer be valid. Is being a full time student a valid reason to not be eligible to be recalled, like during the Vietnam era draft? Thanks in advance for your help.
