All online gambling in the US is illegal, PERIOD. It's illegal to use any form of electronic communications to place bets. Hell, the Nevada sports books won't even let you use your cell phone on site.

All the quasilegal stuff you see is overseas. The feds have tightened up the rules to make it harder for funds from the US to be transferred to these sites and of late has been taken to going after operators of foreign sites that have any presence in the US.

They haven't gone after individual gamblers yet, but you have to understand that you're playing quite a risk with the foreign site going belly up or shutdown (has happened) and losing your deposit as well as the incredible vigorish and problems with the few off-shore money funnels you have to use to get money in and out of these ventures.
