Was he in high school during the entire relationship?

F. It is a defense to a prosecution pursuant to sections 13-1405 and 13-3560 if the victim is fifteen, sixteen or seventeen years of age, the defendant is under nineteen years of age or attending high school and is no more than twenty-four months older than the victim and the conduct is consensual.

Not in the later part of the relationship...at the very least, it's a close one. In any case, the OP needs to talk to the police.
I agree that deaddream should speak to the police but I really think it is smarter to speak to an attorney first. Once a report is made to the police, the investigation will affect deaddream. She needs to be prepared for fallout.
