In South Dakota is there a window of time in which the court must rule on a case that is on their calendar? I am involved in a case that has been appealed by the plaintiff and it was placed on the November calendar of 2018. Is there a six month window and if so what happens when that time has expired?
Thanks in advance.

It's the Supreme Court of the state. The state Constitution sets no time limit on the Court's decision in cases, and being an independent branch of government, there is no one to dictate to the court how fast it must issue opinions. So the court can take as long as it needs to issue the opinion.
