Denying refund on roof materials

I just had roof replacement done by Lowes and there several roofing tiles, that I bought, and because of the 'nature of service, they will not refund payment for tiles. Is this legal?

Are you returning to the same location that you purchased from? I have had personal experience with Lowe's stores refusing to accept returns on items that they don't stock. Basically if they don't stock it then they don't want to return it. But that is not consistent with their policy.

Have you tried calling Lowe's customer care 1-800-445-6937? I had to call customer care to get assistance.

Unfortunately being polite and friendly may not get you what you want.

Just a tip: roof tiles break. It's good idea to have spares on hand so you'll be able to easily replace with matching tiles.
