Im in grand rapid, michigan .I dont get along with my neighbors at all and they always called the police on me for stupid stuff in past. 2 months ago, one of my neighbors kids hit their owns mom's car with the truck their kid owned, causing alot of damage, (i got it on video) then they took off and parked their truck around the block in a alley. Then walked backed to their house and told their mom i hit their her car. So the mom and and her kid came banging on my door, screaming at me claiming i did a hit in run and that their kid witnessed it, they demanded 5k or they getting police involved. I told them im not paying anything because I didnt do it, then the mom said i Was full of it and that her son never Lied and threatened to call the police which i told them to do. The police actually came and a police report was filed against me. I told the police i didnt do it and i gave the cop my drivers license and insurance(then police gave the mom my insuranceinfo). Police looked at my car and and i showed them there was no damage on my car. Then I showed the police the Video recording of my neighbors son actually hitting the mom's car. They both got arrested and got charged with obstructing Justice, and filing a false police report. The mom still ended up filing a claim on her insurance claiming im still responsible, and i ended up getting a demand notice from their insurance company in the mail saying I need to pay $2000 for their deductible or they will take me to court. What do i do from here?

Send a copy of the video and information about the arrest.

I think you ought to "show[] the [insurance company] the Video recording of [your] neighbors son actually hitting the mom's car," along with:

information about the arrest.

Isn't that obvious?

You’ve already taken the right steps by providing video evidence to the police, which led to charges being filed against your neighbors. In this situation, it’s critical to inform your insurance company immediately about the false claim and provide them with all the evidence you have, including the video and the police report. Insurance companies sometimes have legal team that can dispute the claim on your behalf. Since the demand notice came from their insurance company, they’re trying to recover costs for damages, but if you’ve proven you weren’t involved, it’s unlikely they have a case. Don’t make any payments or agreements without consulting your insurer or seeking legal advice.

First question - have you already reported this to your own insurance company? If you haven't, do so right now. There may have already been a claim reported by the Mom or, at least, it will be since they have your insurance information.

Once you get a claim rep assigned at your insurance company, provide the video and the police report, along with the demand letter from the Mom's insurance.

I disagree, in part, with Z and Z.

Do not respond to the demand letter. You don't know how. Your insurance claims people know how and will do it for you. That's what you buy insurance for.

Fair enough, although I don't believe that responding to the demand letter with the information would be harmful to the OP.
