  The only problem with this is that I would want them to take responsibility for my withdrawal. That is my pain and suffering. But that does not seem to be a good legal angle.

  Before they first prescribed the Valium, they did try about six or seven other medications, and none proved to be effective treatment for my condition. Valium was only approved at the end of many trials. But they did not retest me after withdrawal.

  I'm trying to understand: if I accept follow up care, does not impact a future action on my part to take legal action (assuming I have a case)? And does anyone know how risky it is generally, to suddenly discontinue from Valium after years of use?
