  When a simple mounting bracket for an LPR camera costs $300 I get the feeling that it will be a very long time before any of these vendors drop their prices significantly. But then again I tend to be the cynical type. ;)

  My experience after having dogs for many years and volunteering at a shelter for the last 5 is that it's a bit difficult to get scratched by a dog, but that's just my point of view. (except maybe if you're wearing shorts and they jump you - maybe).

  Was he a regular driver of the car or was he just an occasional driver? If the latter your insurance company should cover it. Was the accident reported to them? Who paid your boyfriend the $120k??

  The accuracy of radar or lidar is usually +/- 1mph - well below that 5 mph threshold. Of course, around here no one would ever get written for that speed - it's ridiculous. Stopped maybe - for a fishing expedition, but not written. Of course, the OP may have simply gotten a break on the speed.
