  Even WITH bail there are thousands of FTA warrants in Sacramento County alone! I cannot imagine the cavalcade of warrants that will exist when this law comes to pass!

  The bail system changes drastically in October of 2019. For the moment, we require bail. But, depending on the specific sections charged, he may not have to make bail if he waits another year before re-offending in such a grand manner.

  When mom went to pick the child up at school, why did she take "No" for an answer? If the court order is that the child goes with mom, then the child goes with mom. Unless (for some very peculiar reason) the court order gives the child the right to refuse, he must abide by the order of the court.

  Oh, we still house them (when charged and convicted), but, we are transferring them to county jails and therefore pretty much not housing any other criminals which is leading to a tremendous increase in criminal behavior.

  The hearing is an informal process without specific rules akin to the rules of court. Ergo, no specific rules of evidence or similar guidelines. The appeal to such a hearing would be through the agency’s chain of command, or, via a civil suit (generall, Small Claims).
