I was thinking along those lines, too. If all settlement talks have failed and the attorney starts trial prep, if I were the attorney I'd start the 40% then.

Well, bless your heart --- asking you what law you are sure she violated was absolutely trying to help. Because without knowing what law you're referring to, no one is able to help you. But since you have better things to do (like find a job), then you should probably start doing those things now.

Contact the police department in the jurisdiction(s) in which you've been arrested and ask how to get a copy of the reports.
Google "court records + the county(ies) + states" in which you've been charged.
Contact your attorny(ies) and ask them for copies of the legal proceedings.
I doubt that the neighbor was thinking about you AT ALL whilst involved with this paramour. Seriously -- you need to seek professional mental health help

Please do NOT do this. He's a kid (even at 17). Trust me: he knows who you are. If she's lying, he knows it. Or will figure it out. But stooping to her level and involving your child in adult matters is going to make things worse. Especially for him. Take the high road. Be the bigger man...
