You cannot be docked pay for time you actually work. If you work 8 hours you have to be paid 8 hours.
However, you need not be paid for breaks of twenty minutes or more.
If the policy says that if you leave the premises your 30 minute break is unpaid, there is nothing in either Federal or NJ...
Skaht, are you posting here looking for an attorney to represent you? If so, I have to tell you that we can't do that. We are not a referral service and reputable attorneys do not troll message boards looking for clients. In any case, I don't believe any New Mexico attorneys follow the board.
Iowa is an at-will state. You can be terminated for any reason that does not violate the law. Nothing you have posted suggests you were termed for a reason that violates the law.
Oh for the love of heaven.
You're right. The landlord is absolute scum and you are entirely justified in violating your lease just because you want to.
Now that I've told you what you want to hear, will you FINALLY tell us what it is that you expect from this board?

Whether he's said anything before, he's saying it now.
Your lease says no pets. You have pets.
You are in violation.
The landlord's wrongdoings do not justify yours.
If he has self-identified as having a disability and has medical verification, it's not that they need not accommodate him; it's that they need not provide him with the accommodation he wants or even that the doctor recommends.
It should be understood that it has been over a decade since I handled ADA requests. At my current employer, where I have been for fourteen years, ADA requests are handled in a different part of the office which is not even in the same building I am.
Not necessarily. Different companies do...
Because no one else appears to give two hoots about the whole situation. You're the one who is making getting this car moved your life's work; you're the one who needs to make it possible to have it happen. As far as I can tell, no one else in your family would give half a fig if the car stayed...
