     furniture rental company theft?

     What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado. my husband and i rented some furniture 4 years ago. we separated and i assumed he had returned the items. i found out he pawned them at a pawn shop. he is now deceased. am i liable for theese items? can the rental place come after me?
