I think so too. That's what we do my husband isn't "looped in" but is well aware of what goes on. I didn't ask for her to be eliminated just for dad and I to be the source of communications and decisions.. a counselor involves decisions and her well being.. This is what I'm not understanding. I dont THINK ( i know that could get me in trouble) my request is unreasonable or outside of what is legally agreed upon. I specifically asked for them to copy DAD AND I on EVERYTHING. Shouldn't this be sufficient as we are both actively involved. Its almost...- mhb3

Update, meeting with school administrators went well. I took our custody agreement and asked if they felt it was appropriate to request all communication regarding decisions and well being being directed to both dad and I. Still not sure what to do, or how to respond?? Looked up FERPA in Georgia and it appears she can do this with written permission from dad, but the intent is for cases when parent is absent?? I have all the texts, emails etc. That's something else I need to prepare for (communicating as dad) it's happened before. Its usually easy for me to tell the difference because of the differences in grammar, punctuation, etc but I'm sure that is irrelevant if it were to go to court. Something...- mhb3

Good point, I'll remember that in future communication. I'm definitely taking their recommendation seriously, the appointment has already been made for her counseling. Until this point, we've been blessed with a good experience at the school. This situation has me thinking otherwise though...- mhb3
