I didn’t know that. I would have thought written communication with texted photos is better than verbal with the owner. You know how they say “get it in writing.”

I would have opened the ceiling up from the beginning but he texted me “I’m not paying for that” . But now he knows the bilaws so I’ll make things happen. Thanks
Update: I just did a leak test with neighbors and now I’m totally baffled. We did all combinations of running the water, the drips came down consistently in my bathroom at one point, turned the shower off upstairs and they stopped but then turned the tub and shower on again 5 minutes later and...
I KNOW it’s coming from their bathroom above because I can hear them using the bathroom at the time. When they stop using the bathroom the water eventually stops. It’s coming through my ceiling. None of my pipes are up there. It’s all his. The property manager, president of the board, the super...

I’ve been texting pictures of a leak in my bathroom through my ceiling since August. It’s now October. My neighbor has not fixed the leak. I had to inform him of the bilaws where he is responsible for leaks and damage to my home from any leaks. This guy...
Thanks everyone: So if I were to go to a lawyer for advice, would he/she charge by the hour? Or charge for what he needs to do for me? I'd hate to go in there and get taken advantage of, because I'm not knowledgable about lawyers and what/how they charge.
One more thing.......I'm also...

Hi I will be trademarking a logo for my movie production company. First of all, can I just say "I have a production company with a logo" or do I need to set up an LLC for the production company before I trademark the logo? I read that my personal info will be...
I understand that, but I also read that if I were to take someone to court, I have more of a chance to win if my work is protected with the copyright office. I guess I'm really asking if an Independent movie maker usually would register a trailer in general. I don't know any other film makers...
I'm back!
Currently I'm making some trailers for my movie. Another new experience. I'm wondering if I should Copyright the trailers separately from my movie? I haven't copyrighted my movie yet since I may need to reshoot part of a scene, however, that part of the scene will not be in the trailers.
Thanks.
Ok, so I can still copyright his performance though? Even though my friend performed it (and I recorded it). But it's in a movie I created. Hmm. Not sure how that works. So both our names with be on it, but he will have all the rights? Or would it be better for him to copyright it...
I have another question!
When I copyright my movie music all at once, should I be copyrighting every song in my soundtrack?..... including very short film score instrumentals, and performances of public domain music by Beethoven and Bach (as well as including longer songs I wrote and performed.)
Thanks! OK so just to clarify, AFTER I register with the US Copyright Office, I can modify my movie/music and still be protected under the exact same Copyright I registered?

Hi.
After I copyright my movie and music (in the movie) am I free to revise them? Make adjustments?
For example, if I reshoot a scene for the movie or add another music track to one of my songs.
Does this affect the copyright? Do I need to go through the...
