     They wanted us gone, so they were harassing us into leaving and the DHS office in town had employees who lived there too. People later admitted they had been making false reports about us to DHS, police, etc., to either cause us to get arrested or to finally leave town.

     Run Out of Town

     Yes. The police chief told us once they had told another family to "get out of town before sundown." The dispatcher told us another resident wasn't "getting the hint" they wanted him to leave. They've had a history of doing this to others.

     We were told that we would never get jobs in that town, it had been fixed that way. People were proud of what they were doing and specifically telling us what they'd done right before we left.

     They started destroying our reputation. Reporting crimes we never committed to law enforcement; we had to show documentation that we weren't committing crimes. People stopped wanting to help because they specifically said they didn't want the trouble. We had people at food banks even questioning...
