I do not think so...it is my understanding that the judge would be the one to make request(??) Apparently he was satisfied making the ruling based on his brief conversation with my granddaughter.- ShockedNana

I don't think the term PA was used in court....hopefully lawyer knew not to...I used it to describe father manipulating child to lie to/ not tell her mother about who was living at his house under the threat that she would take child away from him....nothing implied about physical abuse. I think you are dead on correct with all of this. She is a very bright, usually sweet 13 year old who is trying to keep her status in a situation that was thrust upon her at a very delicate age and keep her horse...the judge even said she wants to be with her horse more. It's always been my understanding that evidence that was available but not used at trial cannot be used to have a judgment overturned or a new trial granted. Am I mistaken? Not entirely sure, but something to the effect that they would be challenging the same judge on his original decision. This is a rural county with only a few judges and father has a well known lawyer with a reputation of being difficult. My understanding from what Ive read is that appeals do not...- ShockedNana
