I am in North Carolina, and my boyfriend is currently incarcerated in the NCDOC. His attorney has filed an MAR. I was wondering two things:

1) Is there a number of days after the Motion is filed , that the court date must be within?

2) Statistically, how successful are MAR's for a non-violent offender in North Carolina who has very few points?
